Requirements for Teaching the IDA
Participants Background, Experience, and Prerequisite Skills
IDA Trainers have experience with administration of the Infant Toddler Developmental Assessment (IDA), family interviews, health review, the Provence Profile, integration, and planning. Other criteria include: knowledge of the principles and practices of early childhood development, particularly assessment of young children birth to age three; doctorate or master’s level education; and/or equivalent experience in one of the developmental disciplines, i.e. medicine, nursing, education, special education, psychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language, social work. IDA Trainers have demonstrated teaching and supervisory experience, and good written and verbal communication skills.




IDA Seminar Requirements - Training Phases
 
Phase One:    
Prior to the IDA Seminar, participants will review The IDA Foundations and Study Guide,
The IDA Administration Manual, The IDA Readings & the IDA Kit

Phase Two:    
Attend on-site or online IDA Seminar (5 hours) $325 (includes case review and consultation)

Phase Three:  
Complete Case Exercise, Submit IDA Case Records for three (3) children evaluated after the 
training for IDA Faculty review and consultation.
